About CCCMD’s College/Grads Ministry
The College/Graduate Student Group was founded in in 2006, and the Lord has been faithful to us we continue to seek and serve him year after year. Our regular College/Grads Group meeting is held every Friday night at church. During these meetings, we study the Bible together, learn lessons from various books, share our testimonies, hear from guest speakers, pray together and enjoy fellowship. Throughout the year, we have many activities which allow us to serve the church, serve our community and serve each other.
Our goals are to:
- Continually grow in the Lord and be filled with the Holy Spirit
- Outreach to our community including the Chinese student ministry at College Park
- Grow in unity as a body through small groups, prayer and fellowship, and
- Encourage all members to serve God within the group, within the church, at our schools and workplace, or around the world.
Many of those in the College/Grads group are now serving as Sunday School teachers or Youth Group leaders. They are constantly giving out to those younger than them. Our prayer is that the more we as a group can spiritually strengthen and encourage each other, the more we can strengthen and encourage our younger brothers and sisters. It’s not easy serving the Lord in this generation, but we are here to support each other and keep each other accountable.
The College/Grads group is also for those that grew up in CCCMD and have now moved out of state for school. They have a place to come back to, and a group that will always connect them to their home church. We constantly pray for those that are out of state, and are thrilled when they return home.
Acts 2:46-47 “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Although this College/Grads group was created so we can praise God and enjoy fellowship with each other, we believe God will use this group to bring salvation to other college and graduate students. We do not want to blend into this world, but we desire to stand out as salt and light and make an eternal impact.
